LOUISE DUPOND

I am an autodidact artist living in Copenhagen, Denmark, and have been painting for roughly two and a half years. I was taught the basics of oil-painting by my grandfather when I was still a child but didn’t pursue art full time until he passed away and I inherited his supplies.
My motives can, at first glance, appear gloomy and fierce, but I often try to balance this violence through the use of vibrant colours and nuances.
My aim is to portray the difficult aspects of life, in a way that resonates and creates recognizable feelings in the viewer – to shatter the superficial perfectionism and lay bare the human behind.
I appeared in my first art magazine in February 2021, and since then things have been moving quickly. Posters of my art are now carried at three different retailers, and I have recently appeared in the Chinese WeChat-magazine, A&B Lab.
